Actions are operations performed within an app.

Types of Actions#

When using Rollout, there are 2 types of Actions:

1. Actions that occur within the Partner app, e.g. create a task in the Partner app
2. Actions that occur within a third-party app, e.g. create a task in Asana

This section and it's associated pages describe how you can connect Rollout to the Actions within your app before embedding Rollouts integrations.

Action Inputs#

Actions have inputs that can you can define in the Rollout dashboard which is described on the Creating Triggers page. These inputs help configure the action, e.g. for the action of sending a message on Slack, the inputs could include the channel the message should be sent to and the message content.
